Some of the Firm’s most recent wins include the the successful advisory and legal representation of two of the concessionaires of the Lima’s Massive Transportation Service (Metropolitano) in an arbitration process against the Municipality of Lima, which attracted a high amount of media coverage due to its potential repercussions on end-users and the system as a whole. Similarly, the litigation and tax departments of the Firm jointly executed the representation of the cement industry’s interests in one recent leading case regarding a constitutional process held against the Peruvian government regarding an environmental tax, whose scope wrongly targeted coal usage in the cement industry. In that same regard, the Tax and Litigation areas also successfully brought forth a claim against Law 29729, which established an obligation to non-publicly traded companies to publish audited financial statements. Said claim was impulsed by the country's top entrepeneurial associations, including Lima's Chamber of Commerce and the Association of Exporting Companies (ADEX), among others.

Furthermore, some of our lawyers have held positions of high responsibility and specialisation in both the Public Administration and private sector, particularly in matters regarding mining and environmental law. Furthermore, we take pride in our team’s skill in managing private investment and public management related issues, in addition to the negotiation of different contracts aimed at executing large-scale investment projects. In this regard, the Firm’s Real Estate area has experienced a remarkable growth in recent years, attracting the country’s main players in the real estate and construction sectors as permanent clients, sponsoring them in the design of investment models as well as in the management of such projects.
